Putin: Gazprom to start works on Kharasaveiskoye field Wed

MOSCOW, Mar 19 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom will start works on the Kharasaveiskoye deposit on the Yamal Peninsula on Wednesday, President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

“We have a vast potential in the sphere of energy. We will launch works on a new deposit, Kharasaveiskoye, tomorrow. Together with Bovanenkovo this is about 7 trillion cubic meters of gas. We will be able to work and to produce gas until 2031 only on this deposit. These are planetary reserves,” Putin said.

Kharasaveiskoye is located near the Bovanenkovo field and has 2 trillion cubic meters of resources under C1 and C2 categories.
